Legacy Mural Painted by Nia Louis

Westlake High School Class of 2024

Nia Louis is a senior student in the Class of 2024 at Westlake High School. As a Peer Leader in the BEE Club, Nia has exhibited exemplary soft skills and character traits that have defined her tenure as a leader in our organization and beyond. Fueled by her personal experiences as a new girl who struggled to find her place, Nia was excited for the opportunity to advocate for younger girls to be seen, included, and supported at her high school. In her eagerness, Nia listened, considered everyone’s point of view, offered informed ideas, and provided creative solutions to organizational challenges. These qualities alone have had an invaluable impact on our organization, its youth leadership team, and the girls we serve in the Atlanta area.

In addition to her commitment to the BEE Club and our cause to empower teen girls, Nia is also a champion for other student organizations like DECA and the National Arts Honors Society. Through her creative talents and artistic abilities, Nia has helped student organizations at her school brand their cause, spreading more awareness about what they do and how students can benefit from joining. Nia designed the "Legacy" mural (Pictured Left) to inspire students to invest in their legacy and know that they can build unique paths to success. As a student leader, an artist, and a community member, Nia has poured her passions, talents, and dedication to service into uplifting young people and creating spaces where everyone knows their importance.

In this design project, Nia redesigned the BEE Club's original logo, shedding light on the gifts and talents of teen girls and showing us how young women's creativity continues to shape the world. Thank you, Nia—Continue to shine bright, and know that the world is yours!
